Eating is just half the battle.  If you're not hitting the gym and exercising right for your body type it'll be a uphill battle to get the body of your dreams.

The SteveFit50 Personal Training Method of eating consists of 3 Key things:
1)  The Eat List - Real foods that you can eat as much as you want of!
2)  The DO NOT Eat List - Foods that you'll have to give up.  It's your call which is more important to you...  Your health, or whats on your plate?
3)  The MUST Eat List - Nutrient rich fermented foods that'll revitalize your gut health, and get your digestive system back on track.

Benefits of Eating Real Food!

The Paleo diet doesn't take into effect the damage that's already been done to your gut.  You can eat all the healthy food that you want, but if your digestive tract isn't working correctly than you won't see the results other people do.  Eating real food, cutting out the crap, and focusing on improving your digestive health with fermented foods is key to getting back your health.

So, what is the benefit of a paleo diet with added fermented foods?

Benefits of Cutting Out Grains, Sugar, Dairy, and Legumes of your Diet!

In Connecticut, and across the country we've been brought up to think that whole wheat is better than white bread, and that we need 8-12 servings of grains, pasta, and carbs everyday.

The reality is that is all bullshit.  This BS has been created by big pharma to teach us to eat their crap food since we were little kids.  They want us sick, fat, and stupid so they can keep selling us prescription medications for diabetes, blood pressure, and all that other crap.

Until you stop eating the wheat bread, sugar, pasta, dairy, rice, and beans you'll never really be healthy.  By cutting out all the crap in your diet you'll feel so much better, and won't need to depend on all those different medications to keep you going.

Benefits of Eating Probiotic Packed Fermented Foods

So, why should I go out of my way and eat all this weird fermented food?  In a nutshell, fermented foods are the best way to fight inflammation of the gut.

All the grassfed beef, free range chicken, wild caught salmon, USDA organic fruits and vegetables won't do shit for your diet if you've got an inflammed gut.

Incorporating fermented foods into your diet will improve your gut's ability to absorb nutrients, vitamins and minerals.  You'll also be able to properly use the hormones leptin and insulin.  I'm sure you've heard of insulin-resistance which is basically type 2 diabetes.

Correcting your hormonal balance will also help you properly burn fat instead of just storing fat!

Benefits of a Paleo Lifestyle with Grassfed Beef, Veggies, and REAL FOOD

Hopefully, you understand that if your gut health sucks it won't matter how grassfed that cow is...

It is truly amazing what a paleo lifestyle will do for the body.  You'll gain muscle easily, lose weight in a snap, and be able to push your body harder in a workout than ever before.  You'll go for a run and notice a huge difference in your cardiovascular ability.

You'll feel alive again!  Those aches and pains that you've been slamming tylenol for every morning will go away.  Have acne?  Eating a Paleo lifestyle will even clean up your face.

Personally, I thank paleo for my shoulder that has been seperated 4 times not bothering me a bit.  Same with my plantar fascitis, elbow tendonitis, jumper's knee, and low back pain!

Where do I buy these Weight Loss Foods?

The ordinary supermarkets usually won't have many of the weight loss foods mentioned above.  In order to get your fill of 2-3 of these probiotic foods everyday you'll need to look elsewhere.

Stop & Shop in New Fairfield or Danbury

Stop & Shop in New Fairfield actually carries a couple items such as Kombucha and Kefir.  Their Kefir has more sugar in it that would be ideal, but it's grass-fed dairy.

Whole Foods in Danbury CT

Whole Foods across from the mall in Danbury is one of the top spots in the Danbury / New Fairfield area to get almost everything you need to reverse that shitty gut health.
Whole Foods in Danbury has:
  • Local Raw Pickles which are actually from Norwich, CT
  • 25 kinds of Kombucha, but check the label to make sure it doesn't have added sugar.
  • Kefir, but really make sure to check the label.
  • Raw Cheese
  • Kimchi - some people really like this stuff!

Trader Joes in Danbury CT

Trader Joe's is a 12 minute drive from New Fairfield, and has section with probiotic & fermented foods.  I don't feel that their prices are as extereme as Whole Foods in Danbury either.
Trader Joes in Danbury has:
  • Goat Milk Yogurt - which actually tastes pretty good!
  • Kombucha
  • Kefir

Chamomille Natural Foods Store in Danbury CT

Chamomille Natural Foods located at 58 Newtown Rd in Danbury is a great place to go for finding probiotic & fermented foods.  However, one word of warning...  The guy who own's Chamomille is a herbalist, and a really good salesman so if you venture over that way you might be coming out with a ton of herbs that you don't need!
Chamomille Natural Foods has:
  • Kefir
  • Goat Milk Yogurt
  • Raw Pickles
  • More, I'll have to head over there and check it out.

Where to Find Kombucha Cheap?

The cheapest place to buy Kombucha is only 5 minutes away from New Fairfield!  Shoprite over in Danbury actually has a 48 oz bottle of Kombucha for only $7.99.  That's like 3 bottles of Kombucha for the price of two.
